Product Manager – Wiring – Alert HR Solutions – Kuwait


The Organization:


Our client is a manufacturing and electrical trading company in the State of Kuwait. The company has products ranging from LV switchgear, circuit protection, control & automation, wiring accessories, lighting and other electrical products for domestic, commercial & industrial sector. The company has more than 10 retail outlets & products are selling through authorized resellers, wholesalers, co-ops, hypermarkets and supermarket.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Our client is hiring an experienced and passionate Product Manager – Wiring to provide deep product expertise, needed to lead the organization and make strategic product decisions. This role will analyze the market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership — mostly between engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams.

·         Delivery of operating plan, achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all channels/categories or business or key accounts;

·         Recommend present and future product lines from concept, forecast, cost, promotion and support;

·         Gain deep understanding of customer experience, identify product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth;

·         Assess market competition by comparing company’s existing products to competitor’s products;

·         Determine customer needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information;

·         Obtain product market share by working with Sales Manager to develop product sales strategies;

·         Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts business plans supporting special reports and analyses;

·         Monitor brand development & market share;

·         Monitor business KPI;

·         Determine product costing by utilizing market research data, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders;

·         Facilitate product availability, replenishment with suppliers by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and delivery schedules;

·         Maintain product management staff by orienting, and training sales staff from all segments;

·         Maintain professional and technical knowledge by establishing social networks, participating in professionals exhibitions, seminars etc;

·         Manage and implement marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation;

·         Ensure the achievement of brand awareness and sales target through:

o   Build awareness and understanding of the products (internally and externally);

o   Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external principals. Define, explain and iterate a product vision that is compelling to end users and sales team;

o   Active role in obtaining both government and consultant approvals;

o   Represent the organization by visiting clients to solicit feedback on company products and services;

o   Plan brand strategies and timelines;

o   Train and develop sophisticated sales team
