Underwriting support officer (Must have a degree in pharmacy) – Alghanim Industries – Kuwait


  • Issue quotations as per clear instructions from Underwriters
  • Be able to learn costing analysis using various tools and suggest terms during quotation phase (Excel based costing techniques)

  • Be able to communicate via emails with customers as and when called for
  • Liaise with customers and inter-departments to satisfy the procedural checks in relation to policy issuance
  • Liaise with Globemed (Third Party Administrator) for card issuance, adherence and contract submission
  • Take in advance, monthly renewal reports and seek Underwriting opinions on the same and thereafter own the timely issuance of renewals
  • Handle walk in and email customer queries on in house products
  • Be able to review account performance, claims information and payment history client wise
  • Manages book of new & renewal business as generated by the underwriters. 
  • Able to reply to reinsurer queries in support with Underwriters
  • Evaluates client documents, order the risk to be ready for Underwriter assessment
  • Handle customer inquiries – Call and direct
  • Coordinating with claims, IT and finance department
  • Create and manage a proper documentation, both soft and hardcopies without errors and omissions of important communication
  • Timely issuance as per agreed SLA
  • Error free document issuance
  • Full supports for the senior underwriters with timely submission of documents with an openness to work and create healthy and dedicated work environment
  • Be in a position to assume more responsibilities as a part of professional grooming
